Nottingham Panthers’ defenseman Steve Lee says he cannot wait to get going for Great Britain after he ended the domestic season on a high with Elite League play-off success.

GB begin their training camp at the Skydome on Wednesday in preparation for two international games this weekend against Poland.

Lee said: “It was a great end to the season personally for me and for the Panthers, but now attention turns to GB.

“We have a strong squad once again and, of course, the aim is to go one better than last year’s World Championship in Netherlands.

“I am looking forward to a good training camp and the two games against Poland in between will be good preparation for us.

“Poland against GB has become a brilliant battle over the last few years and I am sure these will be no different.”
