Leeds Chiefs have confirmed that their first NIHL game at the new Elland Road rink will be on January 31, 2020, against Sheffield Steeldogs.
Rink owners Planet Ice announced this week that Leeds Chiefs’ first home fixture has been brought forward from the original February date to January 31.
The club have been forced to play every single game on the road, with ‘home fixtures’ staged at other Planet Ice rinks around the country.
Sam Zajac’s side will host Sheffield Steeldogs in a Yorkshire derby for the first-ever competitive game at the new rink.
