MK Lightning forward Leigh Jamieson has agreed another season with the club.

Jamieson brings a wealth of EPL and Elite League experience to the Lightning roster, in addition to representing Great Britain at U18, U20 and senior levels.

He said: “I’m excited to have signed back with Lightning for another season, because it’s a great club that’s going in right direction and exactly where I want to be.

“We have a great core of players and with the team that Pete (Russell) has put together we have what it takes to win trophies this year – and I’ll do my best to help us achieve success.

“I’m looking forward to the season ahead and with the planned move to the Elite League in 2017 we’re hungry to bring back some silverware for a successful final year of EPL hockey.

“It’s what our fans deserve and I can’t wait for it to get started.”

Russell added: “He has a lot to offer this group and club, both on and off the ice. He’s honest, upbeat and loves his hometown club.

“Leigh has all the tools, good size and can look after his teammates when required – he really is a big player for us.

“He worked so hard on his personal fitness last summer and it showed in his overall game – so I’m expecting even more this year.

“It’s great to have him back – we are a better team with him in our line-up.”
