Guildford Flames have signed Slovakian forward Marek Maslonka.
The 29-year-old spent last season with French side Dijon, where he bagged 17 goals with 11 assists in 42 games. Maslonka previously played in Kazakhstan and Slovakia.
Flames’ boss Paul Dixon said: “The work we did on looking into Marek yielded a lot of good feedback.
“We knew that he had some very good numbers with an outstanding stay in Kazakhstan and some good years under his belt in the top Slovakian league, but you always want to hear from people who know his game more deeply than just his stats.
“He has good speed, a good shot and a nose for the net. He is a strong player and plays an energetic competitive style, so we’re excited about what he can do to help us build on our success from last season.”
