Andy McKinney has agreed his fourth season with Guildford Flames.
McKinney, who joined the club from Manchester Phoenix, previously played in the Elite League for Hull Stingrays during the 2011/12 season.
Flames’ boss Paul Dixon said: “We’ll be playing against some very high calibre opposition and we don’t want to challenge ourselves further by trying to play short-staffed if we can possibly avoid that.
“It also adds a bit of flexibility for roster selection on the night if everyone is fit for match duty. In this context, having a really versatile guy like Andy available to us is very valuable.
“He can cover for anyone at forward and he will play a gritty brand of hockey no matter where we ask him to step in.”
