Nottingham Panthers’ forward Evan Mosey says he is proud to be representing Great Britain in the upcoming international matches against Poland.

GB go head-to-head with Poland in his home rink the National Ice Centre on Saturday, 9th April, with the two sides meeting again in the Coventry’s Skydome the following day.

Both teams are using the games to preparing for their respective World Championship tournaments.

GB are travelling to Croatia for the Division 1B tournament from 17th to 23rd April, while Poland host Divison 1A from 23rd to 29th April.

Head Coach Pete Russell will cut his current 28-man squad to 23 ahead of the trip to Zagreb.

Mosey, who scored the overtime-winning goal for the Panthers in the Challenge Cup final, said: “I am honoured to have been picked to play for Great Britain.

“It will be very special moment to wear the shirt and I cannot wait to step on the ice. The fact that one game is in Nottingham is even better – their support is amazing.

“I like the look of this GB squad and there is real competition for the 23 places – I’m looking forward to being part of it.

“I hope I can make the final 23 but with the quality we have, I know my work will be cut out.”
