Great Britain forward Matthew Myers says no-one should underestimate Netherlands, despite contrasting starts to their World Championship campaigns in Belfast.

GB have won all three games this week as they chase promotion from Division 1B, while Netherlands without a victory ahead of Friday’s game between the two teams.

“We have been so focused so far and we cannot let our momentum slip – we’ve got stronger as the tournament has gone on and I think our first period against Lithuania was fantastic,” said Myers.

“Netherlands are short on bodies, but they are still a very good side. We have had close matches with them in the past and it is great to see them back in this division.

“But we know what we have to do and we won’t suddenly start taking teams lightly. We have come with a goal in mind and this group of players are so up for it.”
