The Elite League will have a new weekly highlights show on Premier Sports.

‘EIHL On Ice’ will first air this Thursday, 19th November, and will continue to air on a Thursday throughout the season, with repeats on Fridays.

The show will feature the talents of many Elite League broadcasters, with footage supplied from the EIHL production teams, clubs and commentators. There will also be interviews, analysis and statistics, along with current news.

Tony Smith, Elite League Chairman, said: “It is great that Premier Sports will be showing a weekly highlights show. We have an excellent relationship with Premier Sports and they promote our sport so well.

“We hope fans will enjoy the weekly highlights show and it is exciting that we can showcase our sport every week.”

Richard Webb, Operations Manager at Premier Sports, added: “Our viewers and EIHL supporters have been asking for a weekly show and we’ve tried to come up with something that works all around.

“We’re excited about the debut of ‘EIHL On Ice’. We want to thank the clubs for the footage and efforts to help in making this possible for fans of the league and our viewers.

“The EIHL is an important part of our hockey coverage and we hope this new show will add to the promotion of the sport.”

‘EIHL On Ice’ will be a 30-minute programme, hosted by Aaron Murphy, and it all gets up and running this Thursday at 5:30pm.
