Geoff Wigglesworth and Ryan Broster-Jones have agreed another season with Deeside Dragons.

Forward Wigglesworth (above) established himself as a key part of their NIHL1 North roster last season after joining the club from Widnes Wild, while defender Broster-Jones enjoyed his breakthrough year having progressed through the Dragons’ junior system.

“I’m looking forward to the massive challenge ahead and seeing how we fare against all the teams in the new league set-up – especially the teams that have dropped down from the EPL,” said Wigglesworth.

“I think we will be written off from the start, but we’ve proved we have a lot of heart and can put up a good fight against any team in the league.

“As soon as Scott (McKenzie) asked me back I bit his hand off. I know I can offer a lot more, so I’m working hard and making sure I’m sharp and ready for any challenge ahead.”

Broster-Jones added: “I’m absolutely made up to be back in a Dragons jersey for the upcoming season and I’m looking forward to catching up with the lads and picking up from where we left off last year.

“We need to keep moving forwards for the challenging season ahead. We need to just keep on working hard in training and adding to the team with players like Chris Jones and I’m sure the results will come.

Blackburn Hawks have added four more players to their roster. Defender James Neil joins the club after a brief spell with MK Lightning, while forward Matt Viney returns after a year with Telford Tigers NIHL.

Netminder Stuart Ashton, defender Bobby Streetly and forward James Royd are also back for another season.

Daniel MacKriel has been appointed as Solihull Barons’ new head coach after Perry Doyle announced he was stepping down from the role.

Stanislav Lascek has been appointed as Player/Assistant Coach at Sheffield Steeldogs, while forwards Adrian Palak and Joe Cross have also been added to the squad.

Forward James Archer has signed for Hull Pirates after a season with Peterborough Phantoms.

Shaun Kippin, Jordan Barnes Josh Maddock and Ben Richards have agreed another year with Whitley Warriors.

In D2N, Sutton Sting have confirmed eight players to their roster including returnees James Goodman, Matt Jeffcock and David Pyatt.

Defender Pavel Vales has agreed a further season with Widnes Wild, while Elvis Veldze has been added to the club’s forward ranks.

Long-serving Deeside player Stevie Fellows will take charge of the club’s new D2 team. Dave Clancy has been appointed as Fellows’ assistant.
