Whitley Warriors missed the chance to go top of NIHL North Moralee D1 after slipping to a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Spartans.

Ollie Barron put the home team in front inside two minutes, but Jamie Tinsley drew Warriors level soon after. Scott Morris sealed the points for Spartans midway through the game.

Solway Sharks made it five league wins in a row after double success at iceSheffield this weekend.

Stevie Adams and Struan Tonnar were on target as Sharks triumphed 2-1 against Spartans, while Juraj Senko (2), Marc Fowley and Ross Murray (above) sealed a 4-2 victory against Sutton Sting.

Karol Jets (2) and Philip Mulcahy (2) topped the scoring for Telford Tigers NIHL as they won 7-2 at home to Sheffield Senators.

Solihull Barons continued their impressive form at Hob Moats Road with a 6-3 victory against Billingham Stars. Josh Bruce (2), Ed Eaton, Niklas Ottosson, Rob Eley and Ryan Selwood got the goals for the home team.

Nottingham Lions still lead the way in Laidler D2 after a hard-fought 5-3 win at home to Hull Jets. Deeside Dragons kept up the pressure on Nottingham at the top of the table after a comfortable 12-1 home success against Bradford Bulldogs – Adrian Palak (5) led their scoring.

Scott McKenzie hit a hat-trick for Widnes Wild as they triumphed 8-5 at home to Altrincham Aces. Blackburn Eagles made it four wins on the spin with a 7-3 home success against Coventry Blaze.
