Deeside Dragons extended their unbeaten run to 18 games after recovering from 2-0 down at home to Nottingham Lions to record a 7-5 victory.

Adrian Palak and Simon Furnival both hit hat-tricks for the NIHL North Laidler D2 leaders, who now need three wins from their last five games to secure the title.

Widnes Wild remain second in the table after a 7-5 win on home ice against Blackburn Eagles – Geoff Wigglesworth (2) topped their scoring.

Joe Greaves scored twice for Altrincham Aces in their 5-3 success at home to Hull Jets.

Coventry Blaze moved off the foot of the table after a 5-2 victory at Bradford Bulldogs – Matthew Maurice (2), Jack McKay (2) and Lui Brindle got the goals.

Blackburn Hawks and Whitley Warriors kept their Moralee D1 title hopes on track with two victories each at the weekend.

Hawks won 7-1 at Telford Tigers NIHL and followed up with an emphatic 13-2 victory on home ice against Sheffield Spartans.

Dean Holland grabbed the winner for Warriors in their 4-3 win at Sutton Sting and he scored another couple as the Hillheads outfit triumphed 3-1 at home to Billingham Stars.

Dennis Boström, Michael Bowman, Ben Davison and Michael Elder were on target for Billingham in their 4-3 road success against the Spartans.

Struan Tonnar bagged a hat-trick for Solway as the Sharks boosted their hopes of a top four finish with a 9-1 win at Sheffield Senators.
