Newly-promoted Deeside Dragons had a weekend to remember after securing their first-ever victory in NIHL North Moralee D1.

Markus Kankaanranta (above) and Filip Supa both grabbed hat-tricks as the Dragons sealed a deserved 8-6 success at Telford Tigers NIHL.

Solway Sharks maintained their 100% record with a 4-1 win at home to Sutton Sting – Daniel Abercrombie (2) led their scoring.

Sting fared little better on home ice, falling 6-3 against the Tigers.

Solihull Barons made it five points from a possible six this season with an impressive 4-2 victory at Whitley Warriors.

Michael Bowman, Ben Davison and Michael Elder got the goals as Billingham Stars won 3-2 at home to Blackburn Hawks.

In D2N, Blackburn Eagles picked up four points from their weekend double-header against Altrincham Aces, winning 7-4 on the road and 6-1 on home ice.

Ollie Barron hit a hat-trick in Widnes Wild’s 5-4 success at Bradford Bulldogs, while Paul Stanley matched the feat for Nottingham Lions in their 4-2 home win over Hull Jets.
