Solway Sharks clinched the NIHL North Moralee D1 title after recording a pair of victories over the weekend.

Daniel Abercrombie (2), Connor Henderson (2), Struan Tonnar (2) and James Hutchinson (2) were amongst the scorers as the Sharks won 13-2 at home to Deeside Dragons and the Dumfries outfit followed up with a 5-2 victory at Billingham Stars.

Whitley Warriors won 5-2 at Sutton Sting, but they were out of luck the following day at Solihull as the Barons boosted their play-off hopes with a 12-7 success.

Telford Tigers NIHL moved off the bottom of the table with a 4-2 win at Blackburn Hawks – Adam Brittle (2) led their scoring.

Blackburn Eagles moved a step closer to promotion from Laidler D2 with a comfortable 10-1 home victory over Hull Jets – Kyle Haslam weighed in with a hat-trick.

Bobby Caunce scored twice for Widnes Wild in their narrow 3-2 success at Coventry Blaze NIHL.

Sheffield Senators won 3-2 at Bradford Bulldogs and followed up with a 3-3 draw at home to Nottingham Lions.
