Solway Sharks still lead the way in NIHL North Moralee D1 after picking up three points from their weekend road trip.

The Sharks drew 2-2 at Telford Tigers NIHL and followed up with a 4-2 success at Solihull – Marc Fowley, Struan Tonnar, Stuart Andrews and Joe Coulter were on target against the Barons.

Billingham Stars recorded a 3-1 victory at Whitley Warriors – Callum Davies (2) and Michael Elder got the goals.

That result completed a disappointing weekend for the Warriors who also lost 3-2 at Blackburn Hawks in the Northern Cup.

Sheffield Senators moved up to second place in Laidler D2 after collecting four points on home ice.

The Senators defeated Coventry Blaze NIHL 8-2, before sealing a 7-3 victory against Altrincham – Alex Harding bagged a hat-trick against the Aces.

Widnes Wild’s promotion hopes suffered a blow as they were held 3-3 on home ice against Nottingham Lions, while Bradford Bulldogs won 4-3 at Hull Jets.
