Whitley Warriors moved level on points with Blackburn Hawks at the top of NIHL North Moralee D1 after a 6-0 win at home to Sheffield Spartans.

Macauley Heywood hit a hat-trick for Telford Tigers NIHL in their 9-4 home success against Solihull Barons. The defeat completed a disappointing weekend for Perry Doyle’s team who also lost 6-4 at Solway Sharks.

Dennis Boström scored twice for Billingham Stars as they won 4-2 at home to Sutton Sting. Blackburn maintained their unbeaten record with a 4-2 Northern Cup success on home ice against Solway.

Nottingham Lions still lead Laidler D2 after a 3-1 win at Coventry Blaze – Luke Thomas, Elliot Perrin and Cameron Pywell got the goals.

Deeside Dragons kept up the pressure on the Lions with a hard fought 3-2 victory at home to Widnes Wild – Marc Lovell (above) struck the decider with two minutes left.

Blackburn Eagles made it four wins out of their last five games with a 4-3 home success against Hull Jets.
