Alan Lack is targeting silverware with London Raiders after returning to the NIHL1 South outfit from Basingstoke Bison.
Lack, who helped Bison to the EPL title last season, re-signed for the Raiders during the Christmas break having previously iced for the club during the 2014/15 season.
Ahead of this weekend’s double-header against Solent Devils the Raiders are fifth in the table, eight points behind second-placed Invicta Dynamos with a game in hand.
However, with a D1S Cup semi-final against Chelmsford Chieftains and the end-of-season play-offs still to come, Lack believes the Raiders can enjoy an exciting second half of the campaign.
“I want to thank Basingstoke Bison for the previous year and half with them,” he told the Romford Recorder.
“I’ve had some great highs with an outstanding memory of winning the league last season, but the time has come for me and my family to move on.
“After a few weeks off I’ve taken up an offer with the Raiders to push for some silverware and get the ball rolling again.”
Solent will also have a returnee in their ranks this weekend after confirming the signing of forward Drew Campbell.
The 40-year-old returns for his third spell with Solent having previously iced for the club from 2008 to 2012 and again during the 2014/15 season.
Player/Coach Alex Murray said: “I’m delighted Drew has decided to sign. I wanted to have him at the start of the season but things didn’t work out.
“Following injuries and suspensions I thought I would ask again over the festive period and I was pleasantly surprised that Drew was keen to come on board.
“He will bring stability, experience and goals to the line-up, which is something we have been a little light of this season.”
Campbell added: “I was talking with Alex through the summer and things just didn’t work out as I had too much family and work commitments.
“But since the New Year things have changed and made it possible to play again. So I was thinking that I would get in touch with Alex, but I guess he was thinking the same thing as I got a message that day from him.”
“There is a good young core here and if it’s even just giving advice then I’m willing to do so. Every year this team has improved under Alex, so we need to keep that up.”
