NIHL South round-up: Chieftains still top after Thunder romp

NIHL1 South leaders Chelmsford Chieftains retained their unbeaten record with an impressive 11-3 home victory against MK Thunder – Grant Bartlett (above) led the scoring with four.

Oxford City Stars secured a four-point weekend, winning 8-4 at Wightlink Raiders and 9-3 at home to London Raiders.

Streatham IHC lost 4-2 on home ice against Solent Devils, but bounced back with a 3-1 success in the reverse fixture.

Invicta Dynamos had mixed fortunes in the D1S Cup, losing 10-5 at London before securing a 5-3 home victory over Wightlink.

The game was the visitors’ final outing for the foreseeable future, after it was confirmed the club would be unable to continue due to the closure of Ryde Arena.
