Chelmsford Chieftains extended their lead at the top of NIHL1 South to nine points after picking up a pair of victories.

Danny Hammond (3) and Juraj Huska (3) topped the scoring in Chieftains’ 12-3 win at home to Solent Devils and the league leaders made it a four point weekend with a 3-1 success at MK Thunder.

Adam Rehak’s thunderbolt secured a 3-2 victory for Invicta Dynamos at home to London Raiders.

Streatham IHC recorded two victories in their weekend double-header against Bracknell Hornets, winning 3-1 on the road and 4-3 back on home ice.

In D2S, Cardiff Fire retained their unbeaten record with an 8-2 success at Swindon Wildcats NIHL.

Fire also progressed through to the semi-final of the cup win a 9-2 home victory over Haringey Racers – Alan Armour (3) led their scoring.

Peterborough Islanders maintained their 100% league record with a 10-3 success against Invicta Mustangs, while Lee Valley Lions won 6-4 at home to Chelmsford Warriors.
