Chelmsford Chieftains extended their lead at the top of NIHL1 South to seven points after recording a pair of victories.

Jake Sylvester (3) topped the scoring in the Chieftains’ 6-0 win at London Raiders, while Danny Hammond bagged four in their 9-5 home success against MK Thunder.

London bounced back from the defeat against the Chieftains with a 7-2 victory at Bracknell Hornets – Slavomir Buda bagged a hat-trick for the Raiders.

Invicta Dynamos’ title hopes were dealt a big blow as they lost 8-2 at Solent Devils and 3-1 on home ice against Streatham IHC.

Oxford City Stars had a mixed weekend, winning 7-0 at Streatham before crashing 10-4 at home to Solent.

Peterborough Islanders retained their unbeaten record in D2S with a 5-2 home win against Haringey Racers.

Ross Brears (3) led the way for Chelmsford Chieftains in their 5-2 success at home to Invicta Mustangs, while Bristol Pitbulls eased to a 6-1 home success against Lee Valley Lions.
