Streatham IHC got off to a solid start to life under new boss Jeremy Cornish after Sean Scarbrough’s equaliser secured a 4-4 draw at London Raiders in the NIHL1 South Cup.

Goals by Callum Best (2), Steven Fisher (2) and Ryan Webb made it a weekend to remember as Streatham added a 5-2 home win against Bracknell Hornets in the league.

Marek Nahlik scored twice for London in their 4-0 league victory at MK Thunder, while Jaroslav Cesky, Joonas Liimatainen and Alan Green were on target for Oxford City Stars in their 3-1 home success against Solent Devils.

Richard Facey’s hat-trick helped the Devils to a 5-2 road win at Bracknell, while Chelmsford Chieftains lost 4-2 at Invicta Dynamos in the cup.

In D2S, Giacomo Raffaelli (5) topped the scoring for Bristol Pitbulls as they secured an 11-3 home victory over Swindon Wildcats NIHL.

Jake Sylvester bagged a hat-trick for Chelmsford Warriors in their 6-0 win at home to Slough Jets, while Connor Stokes matched the feat for Peterborough Islanders during their 8-4 success at Haringey Racers.

Sam Bryant (2) led the way for Cardiff Fire as they sealed a 3-2 cup win on home ice over Wightlink Buccaneers.
