NIHL South round-up: Dynamos start with a bang

Invicta Dynamos made the perfect start to the new NIHL1 South season with victories in both the league and cup.

Dynamos won 2-0 in the D1S Cup in a bad-tempered clash at Chelmsford Chieftains and followed up with an 11-0 league success at home to Bracknell Hornets.

Chieftains, who won four trophies last season, also failed to kick their league campaign off with a win as they were held 4-4 at MK Thunder.

Ryan Webb scored the winner for Wightlink Raiders in their 4-3 win at Oxford City Stars.

The Hornets hosted MK Thunder in the first game in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Cup with the visitors recording a 3-0 victory.

In D2S, Peterborough Islanders won 5-1 at home to Chelmsford Warriors and Lee Valley Lions drew 3-3 with Slough Jets.
