Alex Sampford (2), Ryan Webb and Matthew Lawday got the goals for Raiders as they recorded a 4-2 victory.

Invicta Dynamos closed the gap on Chieftains at the top of the table after a 7-3 win at home to Bracknell Hornets – they are now six points behind with a game in hand.

Streatham Redskins collected a pair of victories from their weekend double-header against Cardiff Devils NIHL.

Callum Best (above) and Evander Grinell topped the scoring with two goals each in a 6-2 home win, while Adam Wood, Kamil Kinkor and Steven Fisher matched the feat in a comprehensive 9-3 road success.

Solent Devils drew 5-5 in both their weekend games, but twice blew winning positions. Boris Ruzicka’s last minute effort denied them the win against Oxford City Stars, while Josh Nicklin’s hat-trick goal secured a point for MK Thunder.

London Raiders are out of the D1S Cup after losing 6-2 at home to Chelmsford and they completed a miserable weekend with a 5-2 league defeat at Oxford.

Peterborough Islanders triumphed 7-0 at home to Lee Valley Lions, while Basingstoke Buffalo won 4-2 on home ice against Bristol Pitbulls.
