Chelmsford Chieftains extended their lead to nine points at the top of NIHL1 South after another four-point weekend on home ice.

Danny Hammond (above) scored four in Chieftains’ 8-1 win against Cardiff Devils NIHL and they followed up with a 6-2 success against Invicta Dynamos.

Wightlink Raiders moved up to second in the table after a 5-2 victory at Solent Devils – Corey Watkins (2) led their scoring.

MK Thunder lost 4-2 at Invicta, but they bounced back to win 4-2 at home to Bracknell Hornets – Ryan Coffey, Ross Bowers, Jamie Line and Harrison Goode got the goals.

Marek Nahlik (2) and Michal Oravec were on target for London Raiders as they won 3-2 at Streatham Redskins in the South East Cup.

Cardiff Fire retained their 100% record in NIHL2S with a 4-3 win at Basingstoke Buffalo – goals by Chris Deacon, Jordan Powell, Tim Burrows and Stephen Deacon secured the points.

Slough Jets won 9-1 at home to Invicta Mustangs, but they failed to follow up as Chris Fox’s second of the game midway through the final period sealed a 7-6 victory for Lee Valley Lions.

Peterborough Islanders triumphed 9-3 at home to Haringey Racers, while Swindon Wildcats NIHL romped to a 6-1 D2 Cup success on home ice against Bristol Pitbulls.
