Invicta Dynamos’ boss Kevin Parrish has targeted a four-point haul in NIHL1 South this weekend as the Kent team bids to close the gap on leaders Chelmsford Chieftains.

Eleven points separate the two teams heading into the weekend, but Invicta have two games in hand. They travel to Bracknell Hornets on Saturday, before returning to home ice the following day to face London Raiders.

Parrish has boosted his roster this week with the signing of prolific forward Callum Fowler, who has returned to the club after a spell in the EPL with Bracknell Bees.

Invicta won 3-1 at London last weekend, but followed up with a disappointing 2-2 draw at home to Oxford City Stars and Parrish says the challenge in NIHL1S isn’t getting any easier.

“Every game is huge – any team in this league can beat anyone else,” said Parrish. “I think it’s so open this year.

“People might say Bracknell are sitting bottom of the table so we should go there and win by a few goals, but it’s not the case – we could just as easily go there and lose.

“We’ve got to be on the ball every weekend. If we want to challenge the likes of Chelmsford, Wightlink and Streatham we need a few four-point weekends – it’s as simple as that. I think this team has got it in them to do that.”
