NIHL North round-up (w/e 22nd November)

Blackburn Hawks retained their 100% NIHL North Moralee D1 record with a comfortable victory at home to Solihull Barons.

Richard Bentham (2), Adam Brittle (2) and Ben Simister (2) led their scoring on the way to an 8-2 success.

Sheffield Spartans produced an excellent display on the road, securing an impressive 5-1 win at Solway Sharks – Maros Stefanco, Nick Manning, Ollie Barron, Stuart Brittle and Shaun Wild got the goals.

Goals by James Moss (2), Michael Elder (2) and Dennis Boström (above) helped Billingham Stars to a 5-3 home win against Solway.

Whitley Warriors triumphed 11-1 on home ice against Sheffield Senators – Andre Payette (2) and Martin Crammond (2) topped the scoring.

Sutton Sting registered their third victory of the campaign with a 4-1 success against the Senators – Shaun Ashton (2), John Ross and Jon Woolhouse were on target for the visitors.

Altrincham Aces enjoyed an excellent weekend in Laidler D2 after two impressive victories.

Joe Greaves (3) and Deivid Cetvertak (2) led their scoring in a 7-2 win at Bradford Bulldogs and Aces followed up back on home ice with a 5-1 success against leaders Nottingham Lions.

Tomas Mitrik hit a hat-trick for Blackburn Eagles as they secured their fifth win on the spin with a 5-3 victory at Coventry Blaze. Scott McKenzie’s late goal capped a 6-4 success for Widnes Wild at Hull Jets.
