Former Great Britain forward Marc Levers has penned a new one-year deal with Peterborough Phantoms.

Levers joined the Phantoms back in 2013 having previously iced in the Elite League with Nottingham Panthers and Belfast Giants.

Head Coach Slava Koulikov said: “Leves doesn’t need any introduction to the Phantoms fans or many people around British Ice Hockey.

“He’s played at the top level for many years and gained vast experience in two of the biggest clubs in the country.

“Over the last three seasons he’s proved to be a valuable member of our team and is an excellent role model, hence his alternate captain position.

“When Marc became a dad at the latter part of last season, I spoke to him and asked if he still wanted to play and have the same commitment.

“The answer was ‘yes of course’ and that was enough for me to know he was still focused and willing to do anything for the team.

“Leves excels in big games, leading the team on and off the ice, and I’m very happy to have him back for another year.”
