Hull Pirates have signed Lithuanian international forward Ugnius Cizas.
The 20-year-old spent last season playing for Energija Elektrenai in Belarus, bagging 20 goals with 23 assists in 34 games.
Pirates’ Player/Coach Dominic Osman said: “We’re really happy about this one – he’s going to bring a whole new level to our speed on offense.
“It’s one of those things where you see a guy like this and the more you look into him, the more you watch the video, he’s one of those players that you genuinely get excited about.
“He’s been playing at international level and he’s been playing against some very good hockey players. The numbers don’t lie – the kid can flat out play.
“We took a look at all of our options and we wanted to go for the best player that we could find. The more we looked into this player, the more we got excited about him.”
