Ryan Finnerty believes Jay Rosehill will be a key player for Manchester Storm after confirming him as his first signing for the club.

The 31-year-old has teamed up with his former boss at Braehead Clan and Finnerty admitted bringing Rosehill back to Britain for his second season in the Elite League was a priority for him.

“Everyone looks at Jay’s résumé and see the penalty minutes that he’s amassed over his career, but there is so much more to his game than the toughness.” said Finnerty.

“He brings physicality and will hold opposition players to account when needed, but he contributes offensively, skates really well and also provides space for his fellow line-mates.

“Jay was a key guy for me at Braehead last season and was a primary target of mine to get into Manchester.

“He is a highly respected professional, a leader in the locker room, and I’m delighted that Jay has decided to join the Storm.”
