Great Britain Head Coach Pete Russell has demanded his team stays focused ahead of Friday’s World Championship (Division 1B) game against Romania.
GB sit second in the six-team group, behind leaders Ukraine, following two regulation-time wins and an overtime victory in their first three games.
Romania are without a win so far in the tournament and the only team without a point.
“We must respect the opposition, despite the fact they’ve been struggling,” said Russell. “I want to see a professional performance and we must not get carried away.
“Romania will be desperate for their first win the tournament and we cannot not disrespect them. But we have a team of professional players and I know that they will remain focused.
“They have worked hard every game since we have been at this tournament and I see no reason why they won’t do the same today.”
Robert Dowd returns to the line-up, with the forward now recovered from the abdominal pains which resulted in an overnight hospital stay earlier this week.
Russell added: “It will be great to get Robert back on the ice. He is excited to be back in the line-up and the boys are glad to see him back.”
