Guildford Flames have confirmed defender David Savage has rejoined the EPL club.

The 27-year-old split last season with Bracknell Bees and Streatham IHC, before starting the current campaign with the London-based outfit.

Head Coach Paul Dixon said: “At the end of the 2014/2015 season David let us know that he was going to go elsewhere.”

“While we were not expecting that at the time, we understand that players sometimes are looking for something new.

“He’s had the opportunity to get some time away, and we know that he is now excited to rejoin us. From our perspective we’re pleased to be able to pick up a player of his calibre at this time of the season.

“On top of his ability as a skilled player who can handle duty at both ends of the rink, he is of course one of the premier graduates to ever come out of our own junior programme, so getting him back in our dressing room is a great boost for our club.”
