Bracknell Bees have signed Slovakian ‘D’ man Martin Pavlicek.
The 21-year-old split his time last season between HC Topolcany in Slovakia, where he tallied three goals and eight assists in 38 games, and EC Kitzbuhel in Austria, where he iced at the end of the campaign.
Pavlicek has spent the vast majority of his career in the Slovakian U18 and U20 leagues, predominately for HC Nitra, but has also played in Scandinavia and represented Slovakia internationally at U17 and U18 level.
Bees’ Player/Coach Lukas Smital said: “Martin is another young player we have recruited who is keen to succeed and is looking to improve his game further with us.
“He joins us having spent time in Slovakia, Finland, Sweden and Austria. A defensively focused team player, I look forward to working with him in his first season in Britain.”
