Paisley Pirates took a massive step towards reaching the SNL play-off weekend with an emphatic 7-0 road victory against Dundee Tigers.

Goals by Graham McCamley, Stuart Miller and Frazer Campbell gave Pirates a comfortable three-goal advantage by the end of the first period.

The visitors hit some penalty trouble in the middle session, but the penalty killing unit was in fine form as they held the Tigers at bay.

Pirates ended the period strongly, with further goals by McCamley again and Martin Guy making it 5-0 at the second break.

Late goals by David Orr and Campbell’s second of the night capped a comfortable 7-0 success and leave the second leg on April 3rd looking like a mere formality.

Kirkcaldy Kestrels opened up a healthy advantage in their quarter-final tie against Moray Typhoons after securing an 8-4 win at Elgin Ice Rink.

Dundee Comets completed a trio of wins for visiting teams in the play-offs as they stormed to a 6-2 success at North Ayrshire Wild.

Aberdeen Lynx wrapped up their regular season campaign with an 8-0 home victory against Kilmarnock Storm.
