SNL round-up: Pirates win Scottish Cup

Paisley Pirates claimed the Scottish Cup for only the third time since they were reformed in 1992, crushing the Edinburgh Capitals SNL 9-0 at Fife Ice Arena.

Calum Blair put Pirates one ahead in the first period, but the floodgates opened in the middle session as goals by David Orr (2) Graham McCamley, Richard Thorp, and Liam Riddell made it 6-0 by the second buzzer.

Orr completed his hat-trick in the final period, with Stuart Miller and Haydn Bain rounding off the scoring to send Pirates’ fans wild with joy.

The Capitals bounced back in the first leg of the SNL Autumn Cup Final, securing a 6-2 lead against Dundee Tigers.
