Manchester Storm have signed NIHL pair Sam Zajac and Liam Morris on two-way deals to help them deal with player absences.

Zajac returns to the Elite League after nearly five years, currently playing with Whitley Warriors and previously worked with head coach Ryan Finnerty at Braehead Clan.

The 28-year-old has 36 points from 28 games as an alternate captain for David Longstaff’s side, who are mid-table in the North Division 1.

He is expected to make his return to the top flight on Saturday when Storm take on Guildford Flames.

Morris joins from Basingstoke Bison and is the son of former Clan assistant coach Frank Morris, who also worked with Finnerty in Glasgow.

The 23-year-old Glenrothes-born forward has eight goals and ten assists in 17 games for the South Division 1 outfit and should be in the line-up when Storm host Dundee Stars on Wednesday.
