Guildford Flames have signed former Sweden junior international forward David Lilliestrom Karlsson.
The 24-year-old forward iced last season for Ostersunds IK where he scored 14 goals and 30 assists in 36 games.
Flames’ boss Paul Dixon said: “David appears to be a very skilled player. We are told he has good speed and good awareness.
“We have previously had good offensive players from Swedish Division One and David goes well beyond the production that we had seen from any of those players.
“At 24-years-old we expect that he is just coming into his own and likely still progressing his development. In that respect he is a very exciting signing for the club.
“Sweden are usually number one or two in the world ice hockey rankings, recently collecting the World Championship title, and they produce a great depth of high quality players.
“We are thrilled to have David join us for our move into the top division.”
