The Numbers Game: Panthers vs Steelers

Here they are again, Panthers and Steelers ready to do battle again and is this the night when Nottingham can deliver a blow to their rivals, who have looked excellent so far?

The numbers here certainly won’t make that any clearer, but there’s something of interest to be had from all of these ahead of the game.

Saturday’s game between the teams was the second time both coaches, Aaron Fox and Tim Wallace, have overseen an 8-4 scoreline for Steelers, having done so in a Challenge Cup on 31st August.

It’s also the number of points Tanner Eberle has in his last 12 meetings against the Panthers, scoring five and assisting in seven.

The number of goals both teams have conceded each throughout the competition, the joint best defensive record, made even more bizarre considering Steelers are top of the standings, while Panthers are at the bottom

Adrian Saxrud-Danielsen of Sheffield Steelers is leading the way on the plus/minus, sitting at +10 from Steelers’ six games so far.

Two Panthers players share the six goals scored against Sheffield Steelers so far in the competition, Austin Cangelosi and Kevin Domingue with three each.
