Telford Tigers have signed former Czech Republic international forward Lubomir Korhon.

The 38-year-old previously played in the EPL for Sheffield Steeldogs, scoring 123 goals with 151 assists in 183 games.

Tigers’ boss Tom Watkins said: “Lubomir has got a great résumé back home and everyone knows how good he is from his time in Sheffield.

“He has excellent speed, a good shot, great skills and his numbers prove that he can be a threat in this league.

“He’s a dynamic player who should fit in very nicely on the line with Doug Clarkson and Matty Davies.

“One of the biggest things we need right now is some stability and a lift.

“Rather than taking a chance on a guy, we know exactly what we’re getting with Lubo. I’ve met him several times and he’s in great shape.

“I have no doubt he will fit very well with this team and in the locker room. It’s about adding a body to the team and we’ve got someone with real top-end ability. He’s a real quality player.”
