Hull Pirates have confirmed forward Ryan Watt has signed for the club.

Watt has been a regular fixture in the EPL in recent seasons, having iced for Bracknell Bees, Basingstoke Bison, Swindon Wildcats and Slough Jets.

“I’m really excited to start the season – it’s only June but I can’t wait to get started,” said Watt.

“I had a good season in Basingstoke last year winning the league, but I’m excited to be part of the future in Hull.

“The aim is to get Hull into the play-offs. I want to have a good healthy season after missing a month or so last year through injury.

Player/Coach Dominic Osman added: “Ryan will have a major role next season. He’s a player who can play the game well and can hurt you in the offensive zone.

“He plays at both ends of the ice and he plays hard. He’s tough and he’s not afraid of anything. He’ll stand up for his teammates. With his all-round game, he’s going to be a very important player.

“He’s very hard to play against – he’s able to get under people’s skins and take them off their game.

“We talked about wanting to be tougher as a team and tougher to play against and he will certainly help that.”
