Tripp demands team focus for full game

Clan, British Ice Hockey
Glasgow’s Braehead Clan head coach John Tripp is demanding his team focus for the full game if they are to get back to winning ways.
The Elite League champions the Cardiff Devils come to Glasgow this Friday having won their last seven games.
Tripp knows if the Clan are to defeat the Devils on Friday, that his team must be ready to turn-up for the full 60 minutes and it’s clear it will take more than just Bet and Skill.
“I was frustrated with the weekend there against Guildford and Cardiff” confirmed Tripp. “We are better than that and really should be better mentally prepared.
“To be 3-1 up on home ice and then ship four goals in the third period is just a lack of focus and that’s something we won’t accept as an organisation.
“We need to get back to basics and start concentrating on the game plan and systems we have in place.
“As Cardiff showed on Sunday, if we’re not prepared mentally for the whole game, quality teams like the Devils are going to do some damage.
“Friday is an opportunity to put things right and get back in the hunt for a playoff place – I’m expecting to see a response.”
Tickets for the visit of the Cardiff Devils this Friday (7:30pm face-off) are available now via braeheadclan.com, by calling 0844 499 1700 or direct at the Braehead Arena box office.
