Glasgow’s Braehead Clan have today received the news that forward Tyler Shattock will be out of action for around 4 to 6 weeks.
The Canadian picked up a lower body injury during Sunday’s Gardiner Conference game at Braehead Arena against the Fife Flyers.
Clan Head Coach John Tripp is disappointed to lose Shattock, but called on the rest of his team to ‘dig deep’.
“Obviously losing Tyler is the last thing we need right now especially with Ryan Potulny still being out of the line-up” confirmed Tripp.
“It’s time for us to pull our sleeves up, dig in deep and play for each other if we are to have success against a good Manchester team.”
Tripp also confirmed he was ‘turning over stones’ to find new signings ahead of the transfer deadline.
“We’re always in the market for quality players and guys that are going to make a difference to the team.
“There is plenty of work going on behind the scenes in this area, but the market is pretty dry right now for what we’re looking for.
“It’s important that we bring in the right individual, that is going to bring the spark that we need to start moving up the table.”
