Tripp – We’re ready for Sheffield clash

Glasgow’s Braehead Clan head coach John Tripp believes his team can built on their weekend performances against the Coventry Blaze and Nottingham Panthers.

The Sheffield Steelers are the visitors to Braehead Arena on Friday (7:30pm face-off) as the Clan look to continue their recent good home form.

Following a 3-1 win over Coventry and a narrow 0-3 loss to Nottingham, Tripp believes that his team can overcome the current EIHL playoff champions.

“I thought we played very well over the weekend, and we are starting to show the form that we’ve been looking for” said Tripp.

“We got the result against Coventry and I thought we should have got at least a point out of the Nottingham game, we didn’t deserve to come out with nothing.

“However, we can take a lot of positives out of the weekend and if we play like that again this weekend, I believe we are capable of beating anyone.

“We worked hard, played as a team, stuck together and played the system – it should be a good game against for Sheffield as we’re certainly ready for them.”
