Rene Jarolin and Kurt Reynolds have signed new contracts with Basingstoke Bison.

The duo played a key role in helping Basingstoke secure last season’s EPL title and both will be keen to keep the trophy in Hampshire.

Jarolin (above) joined part way through the campaign from MK Lightning and went to score 26 goals with 28 assists in 37 games.

Bison Head Coach Doug Sheppard said: “He certainly added something else to our offense when he joined last season and played a big part in helping us win the league.

“He is a great centreman who uses his big frame to his advantage, scoring important goals in big games. He is also a player who creates goal scoring opportunities for others.”

‘D’ man Reynolds will become only the second player in the club’s history next season to reach 400 league appearances for the club, having made his debut in 2008 when Bison were in the Elite League.

“Kurt is a player you know will turn up and play hard every game,” said Sheppard.

“He put in a lot of work during last summer, which made him an even better player. For me he is one of the best ‘D’ men in this league.”
