1959 2BNICLAS 2BOTTOSON, British Ice HockeyBlackburn Hawks retained top spot in NIHL North Moralee D1 after a 7-2 victory at Solway Sharks – Richard Bentham (2) & RJay Berra (2) led their scoring.

Whitley Warriors won 3-2 at Sutton Sting, while Sheffield Spartans triumphed 6-2 at home to Telford Tigers NIHL.

Billingham Stars endured a miserable weekend, losing 3-1 at Telford and 5-3 on home ice against Solihull Barons. Niklas Ottosson (left) hit a hat-trick for Barons in their 7-3 success at Sheffield Senators.

Solway Sharks collected their second win of the season with a 9-1 road victory against the Senators.

Elliot Perrin’s late empty netter sealed a 4-2 win for Laidler D2 leaders Nottingham Lions at Widnes Wild. Filip Supa scored twice for Deeside Dragons in their 5-3 success at Coventry Blaze.

Sam Dunford (2) & Tomas Mitrik (2) helped Blackburn Eagles to a 7-5 victory at Hull Jets. Altrincham Aces won 8-5 at home to Hull Jets.

Streatham Redskins still lead the way in NIHL1 South after a 10-4 win at home to London Raiders. Juraj Huska scored three for Chelmsford Chieftains in their 12-2 home success against Cardiff Devils NIHL.

Oxford City Stars picked up four points, winning 6-2 at Bracknell Hornets and 4-2 at MK Thunder. Brandon Miles bagged a hat-trick for Hornets in their 5-2 victory at Cardiff.

Chieftains won 5-1 at Invicta Dynamos in the D1S Cup. Wightlink Raiders secured a 5-2 home success against Solent Devils, while London drew 4-4 with Invicta.

Cardiff Fife maintained their 100% D2 record after a 6-2 win at Bristol Pitbulls. Peterborough Islanders smashed 16 without reply at home to Lee Valley Lions.

Haringey Racers romped to a 10-1 D2S Cup victory at Slough Jets. Swindon Wildcats NIHL won 3-1 at home to the Jets and Chelmsford Warriors drew 2-2 with Basingstoke Buffalo.

MK Lightning remain top of the EPL after a four-point weekend. Lightning won 8-2 at home to Basingstoke Bison and followed up with a 3-1 victory at Bracknell Bees.

Darius Pliskauskas scored three for Peterborough Phantoms in their 6-4 success at Sheffield Steeldogs, but they missed the chance to stay level on points with Lightning after falling by the same scoreline at home to Telford Tigers.

Guildford Flames lost 5-3 at Basingstoke but recovered to pick up a pair of shoot-out victories, winning 5-4 at home to Manchester Phoenix and 4-3 at Hull Pirates.

Tomasz Malasinski scored twice for Swindon Wildcats in their 3-0 home success against the Tigers. Stanislav Gron bagged a hat-trick for Phoenix as they sealed a 5-3 win at home to the Wildcats.

Cardiff Devils still lead the Elite League after splitting their weekend double-header at Belfast Giants. The Welsh outfit bounced back from a 4-3 overtime loss with a 3-2 success in the second game to keep their grip on top spot.

Sheffield Steelers slipped to a 5-4 shoot-out loss at home to Edinburgh Capitals, but they recovered to defeat Braehead Clan 4-3 after overtime – Chris Lawrence hit the decider.

Clan collected four points with a pair of home wins, beating Manchester Storm 4-3 and Edinburgh 5-1. Coventry Blaze lost 6-4 at Manchester, but had better luck on home ice as they sealed a 4-3 success against Nottingham Panthers.

Edinburgh staged a remarkable comeback at home to Fife Flyers, recovering from 4-0 down to secure a 5-4 overtime victory – Paul Zanette grabbed the winner. Dundee Stars won 4-1 at Fife and 5-1 at home to Manchester.

In the Elite Challenge Cup Sheffield enjoyed a 3-2 success at Nottingham.
