Great Britain U16’s continue their selection process with trials during a two-day camp in Nottingham this weekend.

The camp will consist of on and off-ice sessions, led by the coaching staff and physios.

More than 40 players were named in the U16 prospects squad back in May and the upcoming trials will decide the squad for the 2016-17 international season.

Head Coach Robert Wilkinson (above) said: “These are exciting times for the Under 16s this year – we’ve been in the job a year now, so we know what’s expected.

“We also have a strong group with a lot of depth in the squad. We have eight players coming back from last year’s team, so we should be strong this year.”

The U16 coaching staff of Wilkinson, Sean Easton and Scott Plews, will be joined at the camp by Scott McKenzie, as well as netminding coaches Nathan Craze and Euan King.

IHUK’s national talent development officer, Mark Beggs, will also be in attendance.
