Will Weldon’s testimonial announcements just keep coming as we now know the first two players for each side.

After announcing the captains last month more information has been released regarding the game.

The Peterborough Phantoms legend will play for both sides and will play alongside a current and former teammate.

Second Pick

Coming in at second pick is current netminder for the Phantoms, Jordan Marr who will skate for Team White.

Marr has iced 147 times for the Phantoms with his best league save percentage being .909% in his first season.

He has played across various teams in both the British setup and across the Atlantic in North America.

In a statement on the club’s website Weldon praised Marr, saying: “Marrsy is up there with the best net minders in the league and is such a great professional.

“There are not many goalies that can say they backstopped the Phantoms to a treble! It will be great to see Jordan stacking the pads once again on May 28th!”

First Pick

The first pick was Luke Ferrara for Team Blue one of Will Weldon’s former teammates.

Luke is a Peterborough native who made his way through the youth ranks until the 2009-10 season.

He made his debut that season before leaving in the 2014-15 season.

In this time, he scored 111 times, being the ninth overall scorer of all time for the club.

He currently plies his trade at the Coventry Blaze in the Elite League and is a Team GB Senior.

Weldon played with Luke at Junior level for England and GB and said of his former teammate: “Luke and I go way back, having first played together 13 years ago in Toronto representing England.

“I am so pleased to have seen how successful Luke has been since moving on from the Phantoms after winning the Playoff title together.”
