Coventry Blaze boosted their hopes of reaching the Elite League play-offs after securing an impressive four-point weekend.

Chris Bruton and Jordan Pietrus got the goals as Blaze won 2-1 at Cardiff Devils, while Brenden Walker (2) topped the scoring in their 4-2 success at home to Sheffield Steelers.

Belfast Giants also collected a pair of victories, winning 5-1 at Nottingham Panthers and 5-2 at Braehead Clan.

Scott Pitt’s hat-trick helped Clan to a first win in six games as they triumphed 4-2 at home to the Panthers.

Dundee Stars endured a miserable weekend, losing 7-0 at Sheffield and 6-2 on home ice against Manchester Storm.

Fife Flyers won 5-4 after a shoot-out at Edinburgh Capitals – Shayne Stockton grabbed a hat-trick in regular time, while Justin Fox scored the deciding goal.
