Elite League round-up: Panthers win Challenge Cup

Nottingham Panthers won the Elite Challenge Cup after a hard-fought final against Cardiff Devils.

Braehead Clan’s recent upturn in form continued as they picked up a pair of road victories.

Brendan Brooks and Alex got the goals in Clan’s 2-1 success at Belfast Giants, while Matt Keith and Marcus Gotz were on target in their 2-1 win at Dundee Stars.

Carl Lauzon, Drew Fisher, Brenden Walker, Russell Cowley all scored twice as Coventry Blaze cruised to a 12-4 win at home to Edinburgh Capitals, and Lauzon went one better with a hat-trick in a 6-5 victory in the reverse fixture.
