Basingstoke Bison condemned Telford Tigers to their first home defeat of the season with a stylish 4-1 victory on Sunday.

The EPL leaders went into the contest on the back of a 3-0 win Bracknell Bees the previous day, but they couldn’t follow up against the reigning champions.

The result completed an excellent weekend for Basingstoke who also triumphed 5-3 on home ice against Sheffield Steeldogs – Vanya Antonov (2) led their scoring.

MK Lightning are now seven points behind Telford with two games in hand after a 4-2 victory at home to Hull Pirates.

Peterborough Phantoms recorded a four point weekend on the road, winning 2-0 at Swindon Wildcats and 7-0 at Manchester Phoenix.
