Telford Tigers extended their lead at the top of the EPL to seven points after picking up two wins over the weekend.

Doug Clarkson grabbed the overtime decider in the Tigers’ 3-2 success at MK Lightning and he followed up with a hat-trick during an 8-3 home victory over Swindon Wildcats.

Lightning bounced back with a 6-5 success after overtime at Guildford Flames – Michael Farn bagged the winner.

Rene Jarolin scored four as Basingstoke romped to a 6-1 home win against Peterborough Phantoms, and Bison made it a four-point weekend with a 5-2 victory at Bracknell Bees.

Hull Pirates lost 3-2 after overtime at Swindon, but returned to winning ways back on home ice courtesy of an 11-5 success against Manchester.

That result completed a miserable weekend for the Phoenix who also fell 7-1 at home to the Flames.

Sheffield Steeldogs won 4-0 at home to Bracknell, but they failed to follow up at Peterborough as the Phantoms sealed a 6-3 victory.
