EPL champions Basingstoke Bison had a mixed time of things on the final weekend of the regular season.

Bison lost 3-2 at MK Lightning, but fared better back on home ice as they recorded a 3-1 victory against Guildford Flames.

Lightning made it a four-point weekend with a 4-2 win at Hull Pirates – Leigh Jamieson (2) led their scoring.

Peterborough Phantoms were defeated 6-5 after overtime at Guildford, but bounced back with a 3-2 home success over Sheffield Steeldogs.

Andrei Makrov’s second of the night secured a 6-5 overtime victory for Telford at Bracknell Bees, but the Tigers failed to follow at home to Swindon as the Wildcats ran out 7-4 winners – Tomasz Malasinski (2), Carlo Finucci (2) and Aaron Nell (2) topped the vistors’ scoring.

That result completed an excellent weekend for the Wildcats who also won by the same scoreline at home to the Pirates.

Manchester Phoenix won 3-2 after overtime at home to the Steeldogs, but they couldn’t follow up against Bracknell as the Bees cruised to a 6-2 road success.
